About John Stack

John Stack served as a social studies teacher at the Life Skills Center of Akron, an Ohio-based dropout recovery school, between 2002 and 2007. He served as a principal from 2007 through the end of the 2012 school year, at which point he left to pursue leadership roles in the area of education management. His primary responsibilities in this position involved managing charter schools, focusing on turning around dropout rates among high school students. In 2018, John Stack continued to follow his passion and formed his own company, Oakmont Education. As the president and chief executive officer of Oakmont Education, John Stack leads the education management company in all areas of operation. Under his guidance, Oakmont Education provides services such as curriculum and instructional leadership, HR, enrollment and marketing, facility development, diverse financial management, and ensures each school experiences success academically as well as financially. Beyond his leadership responsibilities at Oakmont Education, he owns a restaurant with his wife, who runs the establishment.
